Scale & Fin

The fish goes back. The photo stays.

Written and run by Craig Fearn.

Most good fish are returned within a minute or two of landing. What's left is a photo on a phone, usually shared once and then buried under a thousand others. Scale & Fin turns that photo into something for the wall.

Four ways in

You can print your catch photo as it is. You can see it in a house style first, with a free preview. With no photo to hand, a PB print sets the weight, the captor and the date under a plate of the species. Or you can pick a species plate or a bankside scene from the collection.

The house styles, the collection and the plates on a PB print are made with AI, then printed to order. A photo printed as it is goes through no styling at all.

The fish has to be your fish

Carp anglers know a fish by its scales. Pike anglers know one by its markings. A print that gets those wrong isn't a print of your fish, so every house style is told to keep them exactly. You still check the preview yourself, and nothing prints until you approve it.

What we won't do

We won't add a venue you didn't give us, and nothing is printed on a catch photo that you didn't ask for. We won't put a logo from your kit into a styled print. Every fish in our own pictures is held low over a mat, the way it should be.
