Scale & Fin

Questions anglers ask

Can you print my own catch photo?
Yes. Print it exactly as you took it, or see it in one of four house styles first. Carp, pike, barbel, trout and sea fish all work, as long as the fish is sharp and clear.
Can I see it before I pay?
Yes. The house styles give you a free watermarked preview. Check the scales and fins against your photo. Nothing prints until you approve it.
Which photo should I use?
The original file from the phone or camera, not a screenshot or a copy saved from social media. Pick the shot where the fish is sharp and fills the frame. Our catch photo guide covers the rest.
It's a gift and I don't have their photo. What now?
Check their Facebook or Instagram for the shot they posted, then ask a fishing mate for the original file. Our guide to getting their photo shows how. If there's no photo at all, a PB print needs only the species, the weight and the date.
Do you deliver outside the UK?
No. We deliver to UK addresses only, and prices are in pounds sterling. You'll see the delivery estimate before you pay.
Is the artwork made with AI?
Yes. The four house styles on /create, the ready-made prints in the shop and the species plates on a PB print are made with AI, then printed to order. A photo printed as it is isn't restyled at all: it's your file, printed.
Will the fish still look like my fish?
That's the test we hold every style to. Even so, check the scale pattern and the fin shapes in your preview before you approve it. If anything's drifted, try another style or print the photo as it is.
Can you add the weight, venue and date?
Yes, on a PB print. You pick the species plate and type the weight, the captor, the date and a line of your own. A catch photo prints with no text added. Venue names are your business, so leave the venue out if it's a quiet water.
What if it arrives damaged?
Tell us with a photo of the damage. We'll reprint it or refund it at our cost. Each print is made to order, so we can't take returns for a change of mind.
